Various awareness activities under Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) is going on in Bongaigaon District relating to Summery Revision on Electoral Roll-21.
An ' OATH TAKING CEREMONY' held today on 15.12.2020 in the morning at 11 A.M. at Gandhi Maidan as a part of the various awareness activities going on in Bongaigaon Election District under SVEEP relating to ongoing Special Summary Revision on Electoral Roll-21.
District Election Officer, Bongaigaon Dr. M.S. Lakshmi Priya administered the oath to a huge crowd of general public in the presence of ADCs P. Chamuah, Sayed Tahidur Rahman and G.P. Agarwala, Election Officer Bongaigaon Benu Mushahary, C.O. Bongaigaon Dipan Barman, Asst.Commissioner Kabita Deka and other concerned officials and staff of the District Administration.
The oath was taken regarding abiding by the Indian Constitution, acquiring and establishing voting rights and participating in the formation of a strong government for the country.
The sole purpose behind this activity was to create awareness among the first time voters about the power and importance of voting rights and the high response from the public towards the oath taking ceremony has made it a grand success.
Further DEO cum DC Bongaigaon Dr. M.S. Lakshmi Priya sought cooperation from all sections of the society in carrying out the entire forth coming Assembly Election-21 smoothly and peacefully.
