Most awaited COVID- 19 Vaccination started at two session sites of Bongaigaon District following the virtual launch of the COVID-19 vaccination drive by Hon'ble prime minister of India today.
In the Bongaigaon district, a total of two hundred no.s of beneficiaries are to be vaccinated at the two notified session sites namely Bongaigaon Civil Hospital and Manikpur Model Hospital.
Out of the total 184 no.s of registered beneficiaries under Bongaigaon civil Hospital and 229 no.s under Manikpur Model Hospital, 100 no.s will be vaccinated under each session site and rest will be covered on next scheduled dates.
Dr. Oli Chakrabarty, i/c Superintendent of Bongaigaon Civil Hospital was the first Covid warrior to be vaccinated at Bongaigaon Civil Hospital today.
Ensuring a smooth start of the COVID-19 vaccination drive in the district in person, DC Bongaigaon Dr. M.S. Lakshmi Priya being present at Bongaigaon Civil Hospital session site today said that it's a matter of great happiness and pride that the most awaited vaccination is ultimately taking place in real and it is a purely made in India product.
Further she urged all to stay positive and confident enough towards the results of the vaccine leaving aside any type of rumours or wrong information.
Further she added that phase wise and with proper planning all sections of the society will also be covered by the vaccination drive very soon and gave a call to all general public to continue maintenance of all COVID-19 protocols.
