Bongaigaon, 26th August : Flood has affected population of 27 villages under Manikpur Revenue Circle like Chowraguri No.4,Bhandara No.1,Bhandara No.5,Bhandara No.7,Bashbari No.6,Bhandara No.1,Jaraguri No.2,Nachankuri No.1 etc. and 64 villages under Srijangram Revenue Circle like Ambari, Amguri, Balajani, Chechapani, Balarchar, Balarchar pt-ii, Balarchar pt-iii, Balarpet, Batabari, Bhuyanpara, Bowalimari, Chakla pt-ii, Chakrabhum, Charipunia pt-i, Huramara pt-i, Huramara pt-ii, Chillyapara pt-i, Kasaripeti pt-i, Kasaripeti pt-ii, Kasaripeti pt-iii etc. of Bongaigaon district.
Fire and Emergency service, Circle Office ,Local Administration, NDRF and SDRF rescues today total 119 marooned persons.46835 persons under Manikpur Revenue Circle and 5879 persons under Srijangram Revenue Circle have been affected by flood.
570 hactor of Manikpur and 812.18 hactor crop area has been affected by flood till date. At Gerukabari M V School and Basgbari No.2 two temporary shelter under Manikpur Revenue Circle and at Sidalsati HS School, Darkinamari L P School, Sidalsati Bazar, Chillapara GP Office, Srijangram GP Office, Fouzdarpara Dewanpara, Huramara pt-i near Sri Hari LP School, Huramara pt-ii embankment,Koimari LP School and Kushiyakata under Srijangram Revenue Circle total 10 relief camps have been opened for flood affected people.
Total 220 inmates have taken shelter in the relief camps.Total 49832 animals are affected by flood.2 Medical teams have been deployed.
In Srijangram Revenue Circle rice 95.7 Qtls, Dal 17.79 Qtls, Salt 5.34 Qtls, Mustered oil 533.7 litres have been distributed among the affected people as relief. Also 400.86 Qtls. wheat Bran have been distributed as cattle feed. Rice 160.32 Qtls., Masur Dal 30.00 Qtls., salt 9.00 Qtls. and Mustered oil 900 litres have been issued as relief today for flood affected population of Manikpur Revenue Circle and will be distributed at an early.
2780 pieces of tarpaulin have also been issued for flood affected people of Manikpur Revenue Circle and will be distributed at an early.
Among others Sanitary Pad-150.00 pieces, Halogen tablets 1260.00 pkt, Temporary Hand Tube Well 3.00 nos., Toilets 3.00 nos., ORS 27.00 pkts, Masks 75.00 pkts., Tarpolin 80.00 pieces, Bleaching powder-68.00 pkts. have been distributed to flood affected people.
Today Dr. M S Lakshmi Priya,IAS,Deputy Commissioner,Bongaigaon inspected the flood affected area as well as restoration works.She inspects the ongoing works of shifting of embankment, construction of dowel bund, bamboo pallashing with bag pitching, A& B-type Geo bag pitching, laudching of Porcupine, Dumping of bamboo bundle & tree branches in the most critical 600 m reach at Huramara of Sidalsati-Mererchar WRD embankment which are continuing on war footing basis from 14th August, 2021.
