Bongaigaon, December 8, 2025: The three-day Dangtol Revenue Circle Emergency Management Exercise (RC-EMEx 2025) commenced today at Bidyapur Higher Secondary School, focusing on strengthening disaster preparedness and coordinated response mechanisms.
Organized by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Bongaigaon and the Dangtol Revenue Circle in collaboration with the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), the inaugural session was graced by Smti. Kritika Basumatary, ACS, Circle Officer; DPO DDMA, Bongaigaon Jasnoor Alam; Field Officers, DM Dangtol; and other distinguished officials.
Representatives from SDRF, Fire & Emergency Services, Police, PHE, Health, Veterinary Departments, along with participants from various line departments, attended the program and emphasized the importance of joint planning during emergencies.
Day one of the training included four parallel technical sessions on:
1. Child-Centric Emergency Preparedness 2. Water and Sanitation in Emergencies 3. Basic Search and Rescue 4. Coordination for Response and Relief Management
Officials stated that this first-day exercise will pave the way for two more days of capacity-building activities aimed at improving inter-departmental coordination, disaster readiness, and community-level safety planning. Further sessions and practical demonstrations are scheduled over the next two days.
