In the year 2009, with lots of dream a girl from Duliajan, Assam went to Mumbai. With all the hard work and dedication she worked in several commercial advertisements, films and web series and won hearts of million people from all over the country. Now everyone knows her well. Yes we are talking about the beautiful and talented actress, Plabita Borthakur.
Recently a web series called "BREATHE-Into the shadows" starring Abhishek Bachchan got released on Amazon Prime and ever since the series started streaming on Amazon Prime Video, Plabita is being showered with praises by fans.
Not just acting, Plabita is also an independent musician and part of a band called Manu and Chow. They have so far, released a couple of original songs and a Music Videos.
Probin Borthakur, father of Plabita is an Indian classical singer and teacher while her mother is a writer and poet. Her older sisters, Parineeta Borthakur and Priyangi Borthakur, are in the film industry as well.
Plabita grew up in the Oil India township of Duliajan in Assam. In 2009 she moved to Mumbai's Jai Hind College, for higher studies.
Plabita Borthakur made her debut in Bollywood's famous movie PK in a blink and miss role as Anushka Sharma's sister.
Plabita made a special appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show also along with Prakash Jha and Ekta Kapoor in the year of 2017.
She is currently busy with several films, commercials and web series. She has recently finished shooting for Netflix series Bombay Begums.
