All about SEWA SETU by Assam Government and Assam Police

Assam Police Sewa Setu is to be inaugurated by Shri Amit Shah, Minister of Home Affairs and Minister of Cooperation, Government of India in August with the presence of Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma Chief Minister of Assam.

SEWA SETU is an interactive Citizen Service Portal for Greater Transparency. It is a Real-time Communication Community Engagement. It aims to redefine the way Citizen Engage with Law Enforcement Agencies. The Citizen can avail various kinds of services in the portal and can connect to the police plaza in a fastest and safest way. It is a great step for the vision of digital India.

The Salient features of this portal are mentioned as follows:-

* Bilingual Portal - In Assamese and Bengali.
* Instant Reporting of crime, submitting of grievances, and reaching out to police.
* Online registration of senior citizens living alone.
* Verification of tenants, PG inmates and domestic help.
* Verification of Government / PSU / private applicants.
* Applying for event permission/NOC
* Filling reports of missing persons, child-related issues, and lost & found items
* Security clearance for commercial construction, petrol pump, gas agency, etc.
* Applying for permission/ NOC for firecracker sale, temporary Bar license, etc.
* Providing feedback.
* Sharing of crime-related information secretly.

Citizens can register and log into POLCITIZEN.ASSAM.GOV.IN and register by giving details like name, mobile number, password, and captcha. The registration is one-time only.
