Conference on Road Safety held In DC Office Bongaigaon

The 2nd meeting of Bongaigaon District Road Safety committee was held on the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner Office, Chaired by Mr. Mogen Narah ,ACS (ADC).

North Salmara SDO Simi Karen , Executive Engineer PWRD Bharat Dan, Gautam Chandra Barma (DTO) , ( NHAI director (Project), (NAIDL Officers), Additional SP Manikanta Chamuwa , Excise Inspector , Subdivision medial and health officer Dr. Mohibul Islam, Executive Engineer of Bongaigaon Municipality, including and members of District Road Safety Committee were also present.

In the presence of the above motioned member in the meeting discussion of various issues including Minimizing Road Accident in District and the steps taken were disclosed. The important steps are mentioned below :-

* To start the repair and renovation of Aie River bridge immediately.

* To limit the speed of NH for the safety of habitat of Kakoijona reserve forest by installing 12 Speed breakers.

* To install speed breakers in Natunpara of Bongaigaon Town.

* To stop illegal storage of Sand and stones on roadside in municipality area.

* To limit the speed of Dumpen Vehicles.

* To arrange alternative road for running dumper of Bidyapur road,

* To control and minimize traffic congestion in front of L.P and M.P School of Abhiyapuri.

Further, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Mogen Narah addressed that " To stop Road accident is the District Road Safety committee's main motive , and for that reason every respective district officials should take proper initiative.
