Health Minister Ashok Singhal Inspects Bongaigaon Medical College & Hospital

Bongaigaon, August 14, 2026: Assam Health Minister Ashok Singhal visited Bongaigaon Medical College & Hospital and inspected the Emergency Area as part of an assessment of healthcare services in the district.

The Health Minister was accompanied by Barpeta MP Phani Bhusan Choudhury, Abhayapuri MLA Bhupen Roy, Bongaigaon MLA Diptimayee Choudhury, Srijangram MLA Nurul Islam, Bongaigaon SSP Numal Mahatta, Commissioner and Secretary Dr. P. Ashok Babu, IAS, and Bongaigaon District Commissioner Lakhinandan Saharia, ACS.

During the visit, Minister Singhal personally interacted with several patients and their guardians undergoing treatment at the hospital. He enquired about their experiences and difficulties and sought feedback on the healthcare services being provided.

He subsequently held an interactive session with doctors and healthcare workers, discussing measures to further improve the quality and efficiency of services at the medical college hospital.
