A Doctor couple from Guwahati recently has been in the news for their shocking participation in the child abuse case, While the husband Dr. Walilul Islam, and the helper were already in custody, the wife Dr. Sangita Dutta was on the run.
According to sources, the couple has three children, the allegedly abused girl, and her twin brothers.
The incident came into light after Child Right Activist Miguel Queah informed police about a viral video of the four-year-old girl tied to the pole on the terrace of their apartment on Friday.
A case has been registered against the couple. Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act was also slapped against the couple.
Further details are awaited on the ongoing investigation.
