Mascot GOLDY launched for Bongaigaon Election District by Chief Electoral Officer Assam

Sri Nitin Kumar Shivdas Khade, Chief Electoral Officer, Assam, today formally launched the mascot GOLDY for Bongaigaon Election District through a video conference.

Chief Electoral Officer, Assam, Sri Nitin Kumar Shivdas Khade today formally launched the mascot GOLDY for Bongaigaon Election District in a video conference held today in the morning with all the District Election Officers of the state.

Mascot GOLDY is supposed to be a part of all awareness activities on Photo Electoral Rolls-21 under SVEEP(Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation Program), by Bongaigaon Election District Administration.

GOLDY is the replica of the rare endangered species of Golden Langur-the pride of Bongaigaon, which is found specially at Kakoijana Reserve Forest of Bongaigaon District.

The concept of Mascot GOLDY is the brain child of District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Dr.M.S. Lakshmi Priya and from now onwards GOLDY will be representing Bongaigaon Election District in all election related awareness campaigns.
