Awareness meeting against rumour of BLACKMAN in Bongaigaon

Bongaigaon, July 25 : A meeting was held today at 3:00 p.m. in the Conference Hall of SDO(Civil) office, North Salmara, Abhayapuri, district Bongaigaon which was presided over by Dr. MS Lakshmi Priya, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Bongaigaon.

The meeting was held to discuss the issue of the rumour of 'blackman' which is recently spread all over the district, specially among the people of village areas.

The meeting was attended by Swapnanil Deka, Superintendent of Police, Bongaigaon, Nabajyoti Ojha, ACS, ADC, Bongaigaon, Partha Sarathi Jahari, ADC & i/c. SDO(Civil), North Salmara, Nitumoni Das, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Tanmoy Ghosh, ACS, Election Officer & i/c. SDIPRO, North Salmara, Shri Pallab Jyoti Nath, Circle Officer, Srijangram Revenue Circle, Smt. Sujata Goswami, Circle Officer, Boitamari Revenue Circle, Binu Rani Rajbangshi, DIPRO, Bongaigaon, Shri Ananda Ram Deka, OC, Mererchar P.S, Shri Prana Nath Sarkar, President, North Salmara VDP and members of the media fraternity along with prominent persons, VDP members, GP Presidents of the sub division including Boitamari, Lengtisinga, Malegarh, Roumari, Haripur, Piradhara, Batabari, Deohati, Sedamari, Rangapani and Abhayapuri Town.

In the meeting all the speakers opined that actually there is no blackman (KOLA MANUH) and the news of the blackman is only a rumour which has created fear among the people and steps should be taken to stop the spread of such rumour.

The Superintendent of Police, Bongaigaon has called upon all members of the meeting not to spread such rumours and also to pay no heed to such imaginary blackman since there is no existence of the same.

He has also requested not to forward any such videos of blackman. The Deputy Commissioner, Bongaigaon and Chairman of the meeting requested all including the media persons to create awareness against such rumour and if anyone receives such video of blackman, he or she should forward the same to the helpline No. 03664-281561 or share in WhatsApp No. +91 8826803600 (WhatsApp only).

The house finally resolved that rumour of the imaginary blackman, which has caused a terror among the people, should be stopped and the leading persons of all locality shall create awareness among villagers against such rumours.
